Criação que procura corpo na ilusão do movimento, tal como a estrutura conferida à casca do limão, patente na natureza-morta.
Através de um jogo de justaposições, encontra, nos pormenores e cores, a alusão a um ninho de cobras, que convida a olhar para o mundo interior representado por Pieter Claesz, através das técnicas de ilusionismo.
À cobra, na cultura ocidental, está intrínseca uma simbologia ambivalente, podendo ser associada à sabedoria e à cura, como, também, aos perigos e tentações. Assim, esta expressão artística celebra o desejo da conquista a par do perigo eminente, refletindo a época histórica retratada na pintura a óleo, nomeadamente a prosperidade e a expansão da República Holandesa, marcada, também, pelas tumultuosas viagens mapeadas pelas rotas comerciais em busca de riqueza.

Hiss
A creation that seeks body in the illusion of movement, such as the structure given to the lemon peel, evident in the still life.
Through a play of juxtapositions, the piece finds, in the details and colours, an allusion to a snake’s nest, which invites us to look into the inner world represented by Pieter Claesz through the techniques of illusionism.
In Western culture, the snake has an intrinsic ambivalent symbolism and can be associated with wisdom and healing, as well as with danger and temptation. Thus, this artistic expression celebrates the desire for conquest together with imminent danger, reflecting the historical period portrayed in the oil painting, notably the prosperity and expansion of the Dutch Republic, also marked by the tumultuous voyages mapped out by the trade routes in search of wealth.

Taciana Passos, nasceu em Matosinhos, em 1991. Formou-se em Educação Básica, tendo-se especializado em Educação Pré-Escolar. Atualmente, desempenha funções como Educadora de Infância. Em 2022 descobre a Cerâmica como uma prática artística, cuja expressão se relaciona, muitas vezes, com o universo da literatura infantil.

Taciana Passos was born in Matosinhos in 1991. She graduated with a degree in Basic Education, specialising in Preschool Education. She currently works as an Early Childhood Educator. In 2022, she discovered Ceramics as an artistic practice whose expression is often related to the universe of children’s literature.
