Sobre a mesa
Prato em grés, levantado manualmente com vários elementos retirados da obra do pintor Pieter Claesz. Chacotado e posteriormente pintado, com vidrados cerâmicos e óxidos metálicos nomeadamente no patinado dos frutos secos. Este prato, não foi destinado a uma parede, mas sim para ficar pousado, simbolizando uma das mesas que o autor pintou até à exaustão. A toalha branca, a posta de salmão salpicada de especiarias, o limão acabado de cortar e as nozes partidas, encontram-se espalhadas, aparentemente, sem preocupação de pose, num diálogo mudo, como que a convidar o espectador a servir-se, tal como o pintor há 400 anos o fez, mas agora o convidado é ele.

On the table
Stoneware plate, hand-raised with various elements taken from the work of the painter Pieter Claesz. It was mocked and then painted with ceramic glazes and metallic oxides, particularly in the patina of the dried fruits. This plate was not intended for a wall, but rather to be left standing, symbolizing one of the tables that the artist painted until exhaustion. The white tablecloth, the salmon steak sprinkled with spices, the freshly cut lemon and the broken walnuts are spread out, apparently without concern for pose, in a silent dialogue, as if inviting the viewer to help himself, just as the painter did 400 years ago, but now he is the guest.

Nasceu em Janeiro de 1950 em Vila Pery, vivendo na cidade do Porto desde 1953. Ingressou na ESBAP, no curso de Pintura, em 1969 concluindo a licenciatura em 1974. Professora aposentada de EV. Dedica-se a Pintura e Cerâmica desde 1974. Participou em numerosas exposições de pintura e cerâmica e na bienal internacional cerâmica de Aveiro. I was born in January 1950, in Vila Pery, Moçambique. I moved to Oporto in 1953, and I live there since then. I studied in Escola Superior de Belas Artes do Porto, Painting (1969-74). I was an art teacher in the school and an artist in Painting and Pottery since 1974. Retired teacher of EV. She has dedicated herself to Painting and Ceramics since 1974. She has participated in collective interviews on painting and ceramics and in the international ceramics biennial of Aveiro. Public panels: Centro Oita – Aveiro; Sheraton hotel – Porto; Centro Orion-Felgueiras.
