Esta peça pretende acrescentar à pintura a figura feminina escondida por trás do banquete representado.
Num festejo destes está implícito algum excesso e assim decidi despir a mulher como símbolo de erotismo e a lampreia como representação dos múltiplos papeis. O ar dramático e culpado da mulher de braços no ar não trata só de expressar o transporte da lampreia, mas também uma má decisão, o acumular das tarefas, a pressa e a preocupação.
A lampreia acompanha a peça como símbolo de astúcia e desenvoltura da mulher, que depois de uma noite de excessos parte de imediato para a próxima rotina, sendo a lampreia a refeição que se segue.

This piece seeks to reveal the feminine figure hidden behind the depicted banquet. In a festive setting, where excess is almost inevitable, I chose to undress the woman — a symbol of eroticism — and accompany her with the lamprey, representing the many roles she embodies.
The woman’s dramatic gesture, arms raised, conveys more than just the act of carrying the lamprey; it expresses the weight of a poor decision, the accumulation of tasks, the rush, and the worry.
The lamprey moves through the piece as a symbol of the woman’s cunning and resilience: after a night of excess, she immediately returns to her routine. In this context, the lamprey is more than a meal — it is the next task, the next demand, the cycle that begins again.
